Does anyone have a suggestion for an affordable and good mic that I can purchase as my current one is wearing down.

I personally prefer the Floureon BM-800 and the Hessaneiser Lavalier (See in video) from a price-to-quality ratio

If you do not want expensive mics, better check a good headset with a mic with it...

And, ALWAYS check reviews online before buying something online or at your tech store and beware of rip-offs or fakes.

It would be helpful to know your budget but I have Astro a50's and they have lasted me for over 6 years now and I have had 0 problems with them. But if you are looking for something cheaper I have many friends that use this mic and it sounds great.

yeah, But it works though, and it's actually not that bad in terms of sound quality. Pick up range could be a bit larger but I can't complain for 99 cents. ;)
