So before you think this is about a rant for easy rebelling with them I couldn’t really care for that kind of a challenge for me, what concerns me about the jet packs are the unfair way they can be used in mini games, even some not so obvious. For example 9square is a certain victory for pyros with jetpack. When their square falls they should die or at least a chance to escape on the minecraft version however they don’t cause they survive with the jetpack. Another more well known example is its common use in deathrun and obby. I believe if scouts can’t double jump why should pyros literally have a jetpack. therefore I have 2 suggestions to fix this.
We either make it a rule that it is auto kos for the jetpack to be used in a mini game / game or whatever you want to call it OR have it removed in general.

I’m not sure if some servers had the jetpack removed but I’d be referring to NY jailbreak and any other that haven’t had the jetpack removed

Jetpack is general is a complete advantage in every sense, i am probably going to repeat heavily what Ray has already stated, but for me i dont have the jetpack so its putting players who dont have it at an unfair advantage and yes you could technically say all players are at a unfair advantage if they are missing a weapon but with the jetpack, rebelling is very simple if the blues dont have a sniper or a scout to kill the pyro, so one it simply add's a difficulty to the game which shouldnt really be there in the first place, as well by keeping the pyro as mobile/more mobile than the scout makes it even easier for rebelling to happen, E.G. Thrusting in > Burning warden > Thrust out. simple as that. so it makes rebelling extremely simple and removes the challenge.
Regarding mini - games, as ray has also previously stated that it does provide advantages to players who use the jetpack, as well excuse the language but it fucking breaks certain maps gamemodes, simply put lets say you are on casurina and in fall game, you can simply jetpack out. so it heavily breaks the mini - games, but it also provides access to areas of maps that may/are supposed to be either difficult/impossible to get to for example on the minecraft jailbreak map, if a pyro was simply blasted in the air slightly by a rocket or a boost from a shot they can combo off it with the jetpack and get on top of the cat building (May i add you can stand on the corners there safely), so in conclusion ray brings up a extremely good point that this shit should be removed from jailbreak.

Ok, well in JB jetpacks are not really needed, because it can break the balance of who won and who cheated.

Honestly, I don't have as much of an issue with this weapon as others do. It just hasn't given me lots of trouble, least enough for me to want to have it removed. However, after some thought, relative to how capable other REDs have been to rebel, the jetpack makes it extremely easy to do. I can't really think of any other item that could give you such an advantage in rebelling then this. Even a rebelling scout is, while fast, ultimately grounded and, while can be pretty difficult to get rid of, doesn't have the ability to instantly kickstart a rebellion. Given that and what others have stated (purple's comment comparing it to other weapons we've disabled for balance, OP's post mentioning how it can break mini-games, etc.), I will fair for a decisive +1. Though, if anyone has any good points against removing it, I'd like to hear it.

Jetpacks are definitely too strong to be used in normal jailbreak without an LR in my opinion.

Replace rebel day with it, I've only ever done rebel day once but an admin froze us in armory and 3 people couldn't block reds from entering and killing us, so it's a waste of an LR as reds win 95% of the time, and blues can't do anything.

Having a round where all reds have jetpacks would actually be fun constantly having to watch everyone and make sure they don't escape, and if that wouldn't work do an LR with jetpacks for red and freeday.
