I'd say Monogatari, but it's action is kinda on the low down as it's not the main focus of the series, But still has it's great moments. Other then that I'd say try Fate or Claymore.

I say mods let you have the game look how you want, like I have vtf edit and such so I can do reskins and stuff, but the people who go out of their way to make models and such are amazing. I say mods should be praised more for most of the time the person could spend months making a single model...
