Any tips for a beginner to make hammer less clunky?

I have been trying to use hammer editor and its shite and looks like ass. Is there anyway to improve the experience?

Try to view what cool things could be done using it.

You're kinda stuck with how it is. The best you can do is drag stuff around. Unless you have some kinda programming knowledge ti modify it yourself, you're on yer own I would assume, sorry.

Props and Displacements are your best friends there~

Also consider cutting brushes a lot, cutting a brush is the primary source of non-squareness in your map
