Accepted Banned due to duplicate account?

I was trying to join a NY surf server I always play on and it said I was banned. I found this weird because I never do anything against the rules so investigated. It said I had a duplicate account (which I don't) and the country next to my name wasn't even the correct one. I also haven't been on in a day or two and the ban came in today at around 2:23. I'm still in school at 2:23. I am very confused by this and I hope this was simply a mistake.

I do have a vpn but I don't use it or at least I try not to. Its Hotspot shield and it won't let me delete it. I'm located in the United States

Your Hotspot Shield appears to have matched you onto an IP with banned accounts, therefor deeming your account a duplicate account.

I will unban you now, and would also highly advise against using VPNs to prevent issues like this from happening in the future.
