Berserk is a good one (in reference to the movies and/or the older anime, not the 2016 one). I'd also reccomend Noragamias I've heard from others it's good.

Dark Souls and Bloodborne are heavily inspired by Beserk, I watched it a long time ago but its good. Aldanoah.Zero was my favorite back in the day, it's like a modern darker Gundam with a killer soundtrack and fight animations.

I haven't watched anime for a year or two so I don't know all the cool new ones you kids do.

I'd say Monogatari, but it's action is kinda on the low down as it's not the main focus of the series, But still has it's great moments.

Other then that I'd say try Fate or Claymore.

The Fate trilogy ^^
Fate Apo's fighting is kinda shit from what I heard.
The original Fate Stay Night (not UBW) is from 2004 so the animation and drawing looks different from the others in the trilogy.
