A trade link allows players to trade you.
How to get it:
Steam -> Your Inventory -> Trade Offers (Blue Button) -> Who Can Send Me Trade Offers? (Right Hand Side Of The Screen)

Once you click on that, there is a Trade URL. Copy and paste that here, which will allow us to trade you.

You got your trades set to private.

From the Steam page, it says " Inventory Privacy must be set to Public to receive Trade Offers from a Trade URL."

I forgot how to do this, but there is probably a Youtube video out there explaining how to set your inventory to public.
