For my main computer, I got Windows 8.1, which for my laptop, I have Windows 10. I think both are fine but the only thing that sucks about Windows 8.1 is that you are stuck with Skylake processors (I7-6700k) and you can't use new processors, like the I9-9900K.

Windows 7 Ultimate is the Best OS of all time, not only is great for games in terms of OS optimisation, but also music and film rendering for you creative folk out there.

I have Windows 10 on my current PC because it came preinstalled, and Windows 7 costs over £200 to buy, but they are both are good enough for my purposes.
