for future floot:

i use virtualdj because of it's compatibility with soundswitch (DMX visualisation studio that sync's to DJ software so u can be a 1 man band with cool light effects), and for editor, ableton and sometimes if i just wanna goof around fl studio (BOTH FULLY LICENSED!!!!!)
vdj is cool. I first started mixing with vdj. I haven't used the latest versions tho
I'm more comfortable with rekordbox and Serato DJ as they are compatible with most controllers
and it also has an awesome library manager

Pioneer DJ DDJ 400
small controller, but it gets the job done

as for FL, we share it among 3 people. it's not recommended tho
I've never used Ableton. Most studios here use Fl Studio or Cubase

I use Ableton not because studios here use Ableton or FL or whatever, most recording studios I have found use things like Logic Pro X, Cubase, etc, but because the workflow makes the most sense to me.

I have a Pioneer DDJ FLX4 I use for VRChat clubs, that's also why I have DMX software running, the club in VRChat has DMX lights you can control :3
