Absolutely terrible when I tried it. Tried it off of someone else's dish but it was just terrible lol. As a side note, sushi was also disappointing, but yakitori and yakiniku were amazing, same w/ any ramen and curry places I went to
I don't like it because of the texture I get from it but other than that, It tastes alright. one thing that people derive from it is the taste. The reason why it has the taste that it does is because of the fermentation that is within the dish.
Another thing people have with this dish is the fact that it is very versatile. Meaning that you can alter what you put in and make it suitable for breakfast lunch or dinner.
Culinary is what I like to study (sometimes), and I have no Japanese background.
