What will you say if someone (new to anime) is asking which anime will he/she watch?

I'd give them something wholesome to start it off, like Wataten!! Or maybe something like Brothers Conflict? owo..

Just a few suggestions. Neon Genesis Evangelion, Berserk, Akira, Ghost In the Shell, Perfect Blue, Fist of the North Star, Space Dandy, Cowboy Bebop, Parasyte, and Tekkaman Blade. They aren't really entry level, but if you want to appreciate the artistry and style of Japanese anime, while also having some amazing stories to go through, I would highly suggest any of these.

Alrighty, Well maybe you could try watching something like Overlord, It's an isekai fantasy anime with an extremely powerful main character and it's pretty relaxed due to the state of the main character, but it also has comedy from time to time. If you aren't feeling a fantasy/isekai anime you could try watching something like Wataten, A light hearted anime about a shy big sister and extroverted little sister, or you could try watching Fruit Basket, A cute anime about a girl stumbling into something very big and trying to get used to the way of life with it, its cute and has some romance elements but it has its dramatic moments and deep moments that really make you feel for the characters.
